While wandering through Glastonbury on a summer afternoon, I came across a patch of brilliant red poppies glowing in the sunshine. Their cheerful colours stayed with me long after I returned home and soon inspired this little painting.

Nestled amongst the summer flowers, this sleepy hare captures the peaceful feeling of a warm midsummer day, when the world seems to slow down for a moment and simply rest in the sunshine.
